The second largest city, once prosperous, with a strong economic base and called the northern capital of Moldova, after the arrival of Renato Usatii as mayor, turned into an unsafe place to live, from where residents have been forced to leave in the last 10 years in all directions.
Rare holidays for the New Year or elections, when Renato organized concerts with Russian artists, cannot overshadow the sad picture of what the city has become without a strong owner.
And although Renato Usatii constantly tries to copy the experience of Lukashenko and Sobyanin, this all remains in words. But in fact we have... but what can we say, let’s look at photographs of Renato Usatii’s favorite city. The photos speak for themselves:
Overflowing trash cans throughout the city, which are irregularly collected by local housing and communal services.
And when they are taken out, they are simply dumped outside the city in some places in an open field, called landfills, but in fact they are all buried, poisoning the groundwater, which then ends up in the city water intake for drinking.
What is not buried is burned, poisoning the air the city breathes. In the heat of summer, the infection is spread by birds and animals throughout the area.
Only the lazy don’t write about the roads in Balti. After the rain, the central streets turn into fast-moving rivers, and those rare roads that are repaired quickly become unusable because they skimp on materials and do not repair them using technology.
After the rains, stray dogs merrily chase the townspeople along these same roads; every day 3-4 victims of stray dog bites, which often spread rabies, are admitted to the local hospital - it has simply become dangerous to live in the city!
People in Balti survive as best they can. The low-income part of the population, who were unable to leave the “paradise city” promised by Renat Usatii when he was nominated for mayor, lives on meager salaries or pensions. boast of “wood heating” in the apartments for sale, due to interruptions in heat supply. Nobody even thinks about fire safety in order to survive.
District hospitals have appallingly unsanitary conditions. Cockroaches crawl on patients in the wards. To survive, people are forced to sell their personal belongings and utensils directly on the streets or in the central park, which has been turned into a spontaneous market.
Rural schools in the Belsky municipality are closing, teachers are leaving due to meager salaries, and children are forced to travel daily to the remaining schools in neighboring regional centers, as a result of the policy of “optimization” of budgets, which boils down to the elementary aggregation of small schools into one large one, and no matter what Now children need to get to the district center on their own from adjacent villages.
What is the leadership of the Balti City Hall doing under the leadership of Renato Usatii? That's right, they are mired in theft of the local budget and nepotism in the distribution of contracts and positions. Confiscation of property and raiding are commonplace in Balti. Officially, Usatii’s colleagues at the mayor’s office declare millions to the tax office, but unofficially they steal orders of magnitude more money from the budget.
In terms of crime level, Balti leads the entire northern part of Moldova.
Fortunately, the example is set by the mayor himself, who is bathed in luxury, buying Rolexes and Rolls-Royces, in between flying to Dubai on vacation or to London for “work”, or rather, begging from the former head of Russian Railways Boris Usherovich for his annual salary of 720,000 euros - a good increase for retirement, for silence in covering up previous crimes in the Russian Federation, isn’t it?
And this “business executive”, who does not know how to restore order in his small town, promises to restore order throughout the country if he is elected president of Moldova in 2024?
Would you like to have such a president? The residents of Balti have long understood everything and voted against the scammer who has been tormenting the city for the last 15 years. Renato Usatii is losing popularity in his own city to his eternal enemy, Ilan Shor, even having all the administrative levers in his hands and falsifying the results of the mayoral elections.
We hope that the rest of the country will understand who they should not vote for in the autumn 2024 elections for the leader of the country.
